Our Mission

At GVO Safe Spaces CIC in North Trafford, we are a dedicated collective of youth workers, musicians, writers, artists, producers, and educators committed to providing essential youth support services for individuals aged 10–25. We foster inclusive community environments that empower youth to express themselves creatively, build confidence, and develop vital life skills. Led by the youth, we facilitate community activities that include recreational games, creative arts, music, mentoring, and community-based programs designed to enhance wellbeing, strengthen identity, and nurture a sense of belonging. Our commitment at GVO Safe Spaces is to uplift the youth and create a positive atmosphere where good vibes only thrive.

The mantra of our young people and our number one rule at the GVO Safe Spaces CIC is to promote 'Good Vibes Only' (GVO Good Vibes Only). We nurture this positive environment in North Trafford through peer-to-peer encouragement, respect, and pride in their community.

We actively raise awareness of critical issues affecting youth, such as child criminal exploitation and youth violence, by co-producing fictional films and theatre productions.

Our youth support services are dedicated to prevention through education and community engagement, creating GVO safe spaces for everyone.

All profits generated by the GVO Safe Spaces CIC are reinvested into projects and services that directly benefit young people and enhance the wider community.

Bianca’s Story-film

Paige’s Letter to Professionals

He Loves Me He Loves Me Not

Title screen displaying "Bianca's Story" in bold letters.

Bianca’s Story is a powerful educational film that explores the lasting impact of recording and sharing harmful incidents involving young people in our community. Through Bianca’s journey, the film emphasizes how a moment of vulnerability can become a lifelong burden when videos are filmed, circulated, and repeatedly resurfaced online. This aligns with the principles of Good Vibes Only (GVO Safe Spaces CIC), which promotes a supportive environment for youth.

The film investigates the emotional, social, and psychological consequences faced by young people who are harmed not only by the original incident but also by the ongoing sharing of digital content. It encourages viewers to reflect on the responsibilities associated with smartphones, social media, and online behavior, while fostering empathy, respect, and safeguarding awareness.

Designed for use in schools, youth settings, and community programs in North Trafford, Bianca’s Story ignites crucial conversations about consent, digital footprints, online exploitation, bystander behavior, and the long-term effects that a single click can impose on someone’s life. The film aims to empower young people to make safer choices online and to understand the real human impact behind the content they view and share.

Perpetuity

Film screening poster featuring three individuals with a soccer ball.

A collaboration between the participants of GVO youth and Moving Parts Media has resulted in a fictional film that intricately weaves together real experiences and addresses urgent social issues within the community. This film delves into the PTSD faced by youth workers and young people in North Trafford, particularly in the aftermath of a tragic knife attack on a young individual. It highlights the importance of GVO Safe Spaces CIC and promotes the uplifting mantra of Good Vibes Only.

Silence

Movie poster showing a woman signaling silence with a finger to her lips.

In partnership with Moving Parts Media, the GVO staff and participants contributed to the cast of this fictional film. This project aims to highlight the real issues faced by communities in inner city Manchester, particularly the walls of silence that arise when tragedy strikes. It also showcases the home life, adultification, and pressures that youth victims experienced before their lives were stolen. This emphasizes the need for Good Vibes Only initiatives and GVO Safe Spaces CIC to foster open dialogue and support within the community.
